First released in 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak, Caliber 2972 combines an automatic mechanism with a flying tourbillon. Now, the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Self-winding Flying Tourbillon Skeleton “Sand Gold” watch has ushered in a new iteration. The 41mm 26735SG.OO.1320SG.01 introduces the first timepiece to be crafted in “Sand Gold,” a new 18K gold alloy developed by Audemars Piguet that imparts a rich brilliance.

Its color hovers between white gold and rose gold, changing with angles and light, thus offering different aesthetic possibilities. Its multi-layered skeletonized movement comes in sandy gold tones and rhodium tones. Sand gold-toned inner bezel, white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminous coating.

Its highly stylized, multi-layered skeleton architecture is designed to provide symmetry while giving the watch a unique 3D effect.
