Richard Mille RM 52-05 Tourbillon PHARRELL WILLIAMS
Lucky!
Highly anticipated since its release at the beginning of the year, this new limited series is positioned between the creative spirit of the American singer and the heaven of Richard Mille’s advanced machinery.
A producer and composer, the artist is also a singer who came to public recognition in 2013 with a song from the soundtrack of the animated film Despicable Me. Since then, the creative multi-talent has continued to collaborate in the music and fashion worlds. At the end of the year, he signed his first watchmaking contribution with the Richard Mille RM 52-05 Tourbillon Pharrell Williams, of which only 30 were produced. His universe therefore takes place on the dial. We thought it was a musical and it took us into space and caught us off guard.
In fact, its dial is adorned with an astonishing titanium embossed astronaut helmet. Its visor reflects the decor of Mars, and you can see the blue planet in the distance. This warm-toned piece is first carved with a special chisel, then glazed with Grand Feu enamel and then painted by hand. This exquisite piece produced in the atelier of Pierre-Alain Lozeron is protected by a case made of brown cermet and carbon TPT, two materials known for their exceptional physical properties, hardness and lightness.
Skeleton rocket-shaped hour and minute hands are powered by a hand-wound movement with tourbillon (42-hour power reserve). Its unique structure enhances the beauty of the watch. The lock therefore integrates an inlay in aventurine blue tinted glass, whose shimmering light projects us into the universe.
