The colour contrast between the baseplate and its components makes the movement finishing stand out, especially the mirror-polished bevels of the various steel parts, such as the hands and the bridges of the differential.

Needless to say, the rest of the movement is done to an equally high standard. As is customary for GF, the steel parts are usually black polished, while the larger bridges are matte, and the wheels have a rounded texture.

The only detail on the front that feels out of place is the purple luminous paint inside the tips of the hour and minute hands. While it reproduces the colour of the dial well, it doesn't look like it matches the white Super-Luminova in the hour markers.

Like the plate of the standard edition watch, it's titanium and has a matte finish, but here it's heat-treated to create a vibrant purple finish. The purple makeover transforms the watch into a sports watch that captures the zeitgeist of today's collectibles, while being a milestone for a brand that has traditionally been more restrained.
