Bell & Ross Offers a Copper Brown Dial for the Time and Date BR 05

The Paris brand's urban-focused sports watch has shifted in tone.

When it first launched, the Bell & Ross BR 05 collection gave us a more understated, city-oriented, square-in-circle design that made the Parisian brand famous. Gradually, the collection has expanded from simple and beautiful three-hand watches to chronographs, GMTs and skeleton variations in various colors and materials. Returning to the most restrained chronograph in the family, Bell & Ross now presents the Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown, bringing a touch of warmth to the upcoming autumn and winter.

The stainless steel case of the BR 05 Copper Brown has the familiar soft rounded square profile of the entire BR 05 collection. The top of the bezel has a brushed finish, and each corner has an extensive polished bevel and functional screws. The crown guard is screwed into place to protect the screw-down crown from unwanted knocks and bumps. Sapphire crystal covers both sides of the watch and has an anti-reflective coating. Waterproof to 100m, it can withstand splashes in the pool if you wish.

The dial is where the BR 05 Copper Brown stands out from its siblings. Now finished in a copper-brown tone, it clearly offers a warm, luxurious appeal. This is the fourth colour to appear on the third-hand BR 05 after the more common silver, black and blue. Applied hour markers and numerals with luminous inserts are distributed around the dial. The central hour and minute hands feature a Super-LumiNova-filled central ridge, and a needle-shaped seconds hand completes the setting. The date window at 3 o'clock has a metal frame to make it stand out even more.

Based on the tried and tested Sellita SW 300-1, the BR-CAL.321 automatic movement is visible through the rear sapphire crystal. Powered by a fully skeletonized rotor, very similar to other BR 05 models using this movement, it runs at 28,800vph and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement allows for quick date setting via the crown and a stop-seconds function when the crown is pulled out.

The new Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown is worn on a textured brown rubber strap or a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet, both with a folding clasp to secure it on the wrist.
