For the first time ever, the famous replica Greubel Forsey GMT Sport is auctioned
Don't be confused, just because it has "sport" in its name, the Greubel Forsey GMT Sport Watch may not be the watch you wear on the court, on the field, or on the field. That is, unless you have $500,000 on your side. Created by the ultra-high-end luxury watchmaker Greubel Forsey, the GMT Sport is an excellent example of a watch.
A more streamlined case design has been chosen for this iteration of the GMT Sport, and the new version also has an updated dial colorway. The 45mm case is made of titanium with a satin-finished and polished finish. The case has a traditional round design, looking at it from the top, but from the side you will see a unique and ergonomic shape – a curve with a cabochon sapphire. The bezel also has a new look, especially the hand-finished straight-grain look. There are two buttons on the left side of the watch that control the local time zone and the second time zone that the watch can measure.
Inside the case, you are treated to an open architecture that displays the suspension bridge, wheels and floating sub-dials in a full 3D view. The most notable feature of the replica watches for sale is the 24-second open tourbillon at 1:00. But that's not all. There's also a ground world timer in the lower right corner, as well as a subdial showing the running seconds and a second time zone.
You can also find the power reserve at 3 o'clock. On the bottom cover, you'll find a disk showing UTC universal time and summer time for 24 cities in different major time zones. The watch is built with the same movement as the 2019 GMT Sport, a hand-wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve.
The watch comes with an integrated titanium bracelet or a rubber strap. Both straps use a double folding clasp. You probably won't be wearing this watch for any races, but you can swim with it thanks to its 100m water resistance.
$10 million Patek Philippe Ref.2499 breaks auction record
A one-of-a-kind vintage Patek Philippe Ref.2499 watch has fetched a world record of HK$60.265 million (A$10.7 million) at Sotheby's Hong Kong auction. The stunning result marks the highest price ever paid at auction for the iconic perpetual calendar chronograph, a full 65 years after its original creation.
Sold as part of the Nevada Collectors' Exhibition, a single-owner treasure trove of 38 vintage Patek Philippe perfect replica watches, the record-breaking Ref.2499 is one of only nine known examples of the second series in rose gold. Unlike its siblings, however, this example is the only one to feature the retailer's signature on the dial, complimented by the famous Italian brand Gobbi Milano.
As "the watchmaker of the Royal Court", the Milan-based business has a history of more than 170 years and has been in business with the Gobbi company for more than six generations. According to Sotheby's, this particular Ref.2499 was recreated by the Italian icon in very original condition, with large grooves on the lugs and a very old dial. The auction also revealed that the Patek Philippe was actually the same example that set a record price at Christie's in Geneva in May 2007. Given its rarity and quality, it's no wonder this 37mm timepiece is getting so much attention, and it's not alone.
Four references. 2,499 examples were offered as part of the Nevada Collector's Auction, marking one of the most significant single-owner combinations of all time. Model 2499, produced from 1950 to 1985, is hailed as one of the most important wristwatches of all time, and Sotheby's notes that interest in the watch has grown significantly in recent years. The example sold is from the second series produced between 1955-1964 and introduced the circular chronograph pusher.replica Bell & Ross BR 05 Watches
"The successor to reference 1518 and predecessor to reference 3970, reference 2499 holds its own among the company's preeminent perpetual calendar chronographs," Sotheby's wrote. "Only 349 pieces were made in total, or an average of nine per year, this It is an extremely rare piece, and every detail has been paid great attention to.”
For history buffs, Patek Philippe does not disappoint. In addition to the sale, the lucky new owner also received a one-of-a-kind excerpt from the Patek Philippe archive.
