A few months ago, we met with MB & F in Basel and had a peek at the new Legacy Machine LM1 Silberstein-but the watch has been embargoed-until now. There are many reasons we love this watch, from appreciating the works of Alain Silberstein and MB & F for many years to the whole reason of just loving Legacy Machine. However, the collaboration of this watch with this Performance Art highlights three important facts-making it very special and undeniably loveable (not to mention collectible).
1 – Alain Silberstein. First, although Alain Silberstein is currently designing timepieces for the brand-this is not his first collaboration with MB & F-he once owned his own eponymous brand. In fact, the French artist was an interior designer and fell in love with watchmaking when he lived in the famous watchmaking area of Besancon, France in the 1980s. He founded his own brand in 1990, bringing incredible bright, bold beauty to the timepiece dial.
